Notes: Following an increase in postcard rates from 2½c to 3c businesses and individuals held stocks of printed cards at the incorrect rate. In most cases a ½c stamp was added to the card. In the case of the Taihape Musicians Club the value was obliterated and overprinted with 3c. It’s not known if this was carried out by the Post Office.
